Follow Me

Be willing to follow wherever I lead. Follow me wholeheartedly, with glad anticipation quickening your pace. Though you don’t know what lies ahead, I know, and that is enough! Some of my richest blessings are just around the bend, out of sight, but nonetheless very real. to receive these gifts, you must walk by faith, not by sight. This doesn’t mean closing your eyes to what is all around you. It means subordinating the visible world to the invisable Shepherd of your soul.

Jesus Calling

The Lord is calling me to follow Him where ever He leads me. Even if that is going into the desert and that's sort of where I am. Walking by faith and not by sight is not always easy. I am always wanting Him to tell me exactly what His plans are for me. And He doesn’t always tell me what is ahead. He just tells me to just trust. I have to trust the the path He has me on. There are times where I am asking Him where are you taking me? Sometimes He leads us into the valley. Into the desert.  There are gifts you get from Him even being in the desert. I don’t like being in the desert. It’s painful and lonely in the desert. But I know that He is wanting me to learn something and receive this gift of being in the desert. He calls us to endure things patiently sometimes.

Endure meaning “suffer (something painful or difficult) patiently.
“it seemed impossible that anyone could endure such pain”
synonyms: undergo, go through, live through, experience,
live on, go on, survive, abide, continue, persist, persevere, remain, stay, lasting, long-lasting, abiding, durable, continuing, persisting, eternal, perennial, permanent, unending, everlasting;
constant, stable, steady, steadfast, fixed, firm, unwavering, unfaltering, unchanging.

I don’t always understand His ways. But His ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. So I will follow even when I do not understand and when things don’t make any sense.......I have no one else to go to but Him. Like Peter said in John 6:68 “Simon Peter answered Him, "Lord, to whom will we go? You have the words of eternal life.
So if you feel you are in the desert be encouraged that the Lord is there and there is some gift He wants to give you there. God is there even in the desert seasons of your life and mine. He will give us the grace to endure.

Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.
James 1:2-5

We also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance products proven character, and proven character produces hope. This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:3-5
